Shaun Hess
Unlike most handicappers in the business, Shaun Hess started out on the 'House-Side' of the isle for his first 20 years in the industry, making numbers on basketball, baseball, and football until 1980 when he moved to California and shifted over to the handicapping avenue. Shaun has now been in Las Vegas for 15 years now and worked for Al Brandy in the sports book over at the old Maxim Hotel in the very early 90s. He then moved over to the sports book at Boulder Station in August of 1994 under Rob Terry, and remained there for 3 years, working under Russ Culver, Rory Hascall, and Keith Glanz. In 1996 Shaun co-hosted a series of radio shows in various casinos with Ron Futrell until 2002, and also co-hosted the Sunset Station Football Handicapping contest for 3 years from 1997-2000, then finally Hosted that contest for the seasons of 2000 and 2001. Shaun has been operating SIGNATURE PLAYS for 5 years now, He looks for trends and situations that are productive in the CURRENT season as distinguished from those of the past 100 years, as the advent of free agency and coaching changes each year alters the personality of these teams from season to season.
