WR Britt has knee surgery
It was expected that Titans WR Kenny Britt would have a second surgery on his right knee and he had it on Wednesday.

Britt initially had his right ACL and MCL reconstructed last October.

This second surgery was arthroscopic and Britt is still expected to be ready for Week 1.

The Patriots WR Wes Welker has signed his 1 year $9.5 million contract.

The team put the franchise tag on Welker giving him no choice other than to hold out.

The team has until July 16th to work out a long term deal, but there are no indications that talks will jumpstart.

Philadelphia Eagles LT Jason Peters has ruptured his Achilles for a second time, setting his recovery back three weeks.

Peters was rehabing, when a Roll-A-Bout he was exercising on broke, causing Peters to fall and re-injure the Achilles.

Peters can no longer be relied on for a late season return.

The team signed Demetress Bell to fill in for Peters until he is ready.

Britt tore his right ACL and MCL last September 25th and has surgery on Oct. 7th.

The follow up surgery would be minor, but would clearly be a set back for Britt.
