Colon was at the Capital City nightclub in Milledgeville, Ga., last Friday, for a birthday party for Roethlisberger. But Joe Linta, Colon's agent, said in a telephone interview that Colon was on the dance floor and not close by when Roethlisberger allegedly sexually assaulted a 20-year-old college student. |
14:08 - Bengals Choose Bryant Over T.O. Bengals Choose Bryant Over T.O.The Bengals have decided which potential big-time target to put opposite Chad Ochocinco, and unfortunately for Terrell Owens, it's not him. Instead, it's former Buccaneer Antonio Bryant who comes to Cincinnati. According to JOCKlife.com, Bryant gets a four-year deal.
Bryant had visited Cincy on Tuesday, and also was beingly hotly pursued by the Miami Dolphins. Carson Palmer needed a strong wide receiver to complement Ochocinco's speed, and the signing should make both incumbent Bengals stars happy.
As for T.O., he'll probably need to find work elsewhere. Will the Dolphins, after losing out on Bryant, with Bill Parcells part of the show, give Owens another shot to shine? Stay tuned. |
12:14 - Anderson apologizes for remarks Anderson apologizes for remarksFormer Browns quarterback Derek Anderson has apologized after saying Cleveland fans "don't deserve a winner" following his release.
Anderson was let go by the club Tuesday, ending an uneven five-year stint with the Browns. In an e-mail to The (Willoughby) News-Herald after his release, Anderson wrote he will never forget that Browns fans cheered when he was injured on the field. He called them "ruthless" and said he hopes when he comes back to Cleveland with another team that "we roll them."
On Wednesday, Anderson says he regrets some of the things he said. He adds his remarks are out of character and that he had some great times playing in Cleveland, "especially during the 2007 season."
Anderson made the Pro Bowl in ?07, but had two sub-par seasons after that.
