Detroit Titans: It will take a huge upset if the Titans (6-4 straight-up, 2-5 against the spread) are going to extend their winning streak to five. Detroit won its fourth consecutive game on Saturday with an 80-73 takedown of Akron. The Titans, favored by one at home, overcame a 10-0 deficit to start the game and didn't take the lead for good until under five minutes remained. It was the third straight game Detroit scored at least 80, and the team is averaging 85.5 points per game during the winning streak.

Syracuse Orange: The Titans will need every point they can get against the unbeaten Orange (9-0 SU, 6-0 ATS), who rank third in the country scoring nearly 85 per contest. Syracuse's latest victory, an 85-61 decision vs. Canisius as 22½-point chalk, was the 899th of Coach Jim Boeheim's career, and the Carrier Dome should be rocking Monday night when he takes aim at becoming just the third coach in Division I history to reach 900. In addition to ranking near the top of the scoring charts offensively, 'Cuse is also first in opposing field-goal percentage (33.1 percent) and 18th in fewest points allowed (56.7 ppg).

UNLV Rebels: Coach Dave Rice and the Runnin' Rebels (8-1 SU, 4-4 ATS) play their third road game in the last four tilts with this trip to El Paso. UNLV recently got some bad injury news regarding Mike Moser, who is out indefinitely due to a dislocated elbow, but the team is expected to have Khem Birch in the lineup Monday after the transfer from Pitt sat out the first nine games due to eligibility restrictions. The Rebels are 9-3 vs. UTEP all-time and have won the last four meetings, most recently last December (65-54 as 17-point favorites).

UTEP Miners: Idle for the last nine days, the Miners (3-4 SU, 0-6 ATS) are looking for their third consecutive victory and have a perfect 3-0 mark at the Don Haskins Center this season. Texas-El Paso has yet to cover a home tilt, however, after a 64-60 triumph vs. Idaho on Dec. 8 as an 8-point favorite. The Miners are also adding a player to their mix tonight when guard McKenzie Moore sees his academic suspension lifted. UTEP ranks 335th out of 347 D-I teams in scoring (56.7 ppg).
