Dallas Mavericks: Coach Rick Carlisle and the Mavs (11-10 straight-up, 10-11 against the spread) look to stretch their win streak to four in this opener of ESPN's doubleheader. Dallas is hoping to have Shawn Marion back for the contest after the team's leading rebounder missed the last two games with a strained groin (click to check updated NBA injury report). Rookie Jae Crowder, however, is questionable due to flu-like symptoms. The Mavericks have won the last four in this series, covering the last three and nine of their last 13 trips to Beantown.

Boston Celtics: Alternating wins and losses since just after Thanksgiving, the C's (11-9 SU, 8-9-3 ATS) hope to snap that trend with a second consecutive win this evening. Boston is coming off a 92-79 home win and cover vs. Philadelphia that was the second of a back-to-back with the Sixers, who won last Friday on their court (95-94). Four of Boston's last six games have finished "under" the total, and six of the last seven in this series also failed to reach the number. Former Dallas guard Jason Terry will also be facing his old team for the first time since joining the Celtics in the offseason.

Television: ESPN

San Antonio Spurs: Owners of the NBA's best record, the Spurs (18-4 SU, 15-6-1 ATS) have won 10 of their last 11 and gone 9-2 vs. the spread in that span. San Antonio scored a season-high 134 points at Houston on Monday to grab an 8-point victory and improve to 11-2 away from home on the season. Coach Gregg Popovich's squad is led by Tony Parker's 18.9 points per game with Tim Duncan the top rebounder (9.9 per game). The Spurs beat the Jazz 110-100 at home on Nov. 3 to run their winning streak in this series to five.

Utah Jazz: Winners of three straight, the Jazz (12-10 SU, 10-11-1 ATS) return home from Sunday's 117-110 upset at the Los Angeles Lakers. Six Utah players scored in double figures to help grab the victory as 7½-point underdogs, led by Paul Millsap's 24 points and Mo Williams' 22. The Jazz are 8-1 this season at EnergySolutions Arena, covering six of the nine home contests. Four of their last five home games went "over" the total, but four of the last six with San Antonio on this floor fell short of the mark.
