1. How do I turn off my pop-up blockers? (Issues created by pop-up blockers: Unable to select Info, Misc, Scores or Print options.)

Internet Explorer users:

To turn off pop-up blockers in Internet Explorer click "Tools" from the menu at the top of your browser. Now select "Pop-up Blocker" and choose "Turn Off Pop-Up Blocker" (Note: If the only option available is "Turn On Pop-up Blockers", the pop-up blocker has already been disabled.) Close and restart the browser to make sure your changes have been saved.

Firefox users:

To turn off the pop-up blockers in Firefox click on "Tools" from the menu across the top of your browser. Now select "Options". From this menu, select "Content", then remove the check mark next to "Block pop-up windows". Click the "OK" button. Close and restart the browser for the changes to take effect.

AOL users:

To turn off the pop up blockers in AOL click on "Security" from the menu across the top of your browser. Now select "Pop-up Controls" and choose "Turn Pop-up Controls Off". Close and restart the browser for the changes to take effect.

2. How do I set up casinos (i.e. sportsbooks) in the lines service program?

DBS2K users:

To set up your casinos in the DBS2K program click on the "Setup" button in the top left corner of the program. Now select "Casinos". That will open the "Casino Setup" window. You will then want to click the "Remove All Scroll" button. Now make sure "Move To Scroll" is selected. Proceed to look through the list of "Premium Books" and "Express Books" on the left-hand side of the window. Click on the casinos that you want to follow - they will automatically be added to the "Scroll Columns". When done selecting your casinos, you will also want to make sure your "Fixed Columns" are set up correctly. First, you will need to click the "Remove All Fixed" button then make sure "Move To Fixed" is selected. Now look through the "Columns Available" box in the top left corner and select "Scores/Info", "Date/Time", "Game Number" and "Team Name". Finally, select the sportsbook "Opener" of your choice. When done, click the "Save" button in the bottom right-hand corner.

Express/Java users:

To set up your casinos in the Express/Java program, click the "seTup" button at the top of the screen, then select "Casinos"followed by "All Sports". You will now be at the "Casino Setup" window. Click on "Start Over" - this will remove all of the casinos from "Your List". Now, look through the list of "Premium Books" and "Express Books" on the left-hand side of the window. Highlight the casino you want to follow by clicking on it once, then click on the arrows pointing to the right (>>>). This will move the casino onto "Your List". Continue to do this for each casino you want to follow. When done, click the "DONE!" button in the bottom right-hand corner.

3. How do I set up my time zone? (Issue: If all of your games are highlighted in red, a common problem is that your times are not set correctly.)

DBS2K users:

You first want to make sure your computer time is correct in the bottom right corner of your computer screen. If it is not correct, double click on the time in the bottom right corner and adjust the clock to the correct time. You will also want to double check to make sure you have the right date and time zone selected as well. Once you have the time on your computer set correctly, you will want to click on "Setup" in the menu along the top of the line service program. Now choose "Times". You will want to have the "Offset From Computer Time" set to 0. Using the "Time Zone Adjustment" dropdown, select the number of hours ahead or behind Pacific Time in your time zone (e.g. 3 for East Coast, 2 for Central, -2 for Hawaii). Once set, click the "OK" button to save your changes.

Express/Java users:

You first want to make sure your computer time is correct in the bottom right corner of your computer screen. If it is not correct, double click on the time in the bottom right corner and adjust the clock to the correct time. You will also want to double check to make sure you have the right date and time zone selected as well. Once you have the time on your computer set correctly, you will want to click on the "seTup" button in the line service program. Now choose "Times". You will want to have the "Offset From Computer Time" set to 0. In the "Time Zone Adjustment" box, enter the number of hours ahead or behind Pacific Time in your time zone (e.g. 3 for East Coast, 2 for Central, -2 for Hawaii). Make sure you have the "Daylight Savings" check box selected if it applies to your time zone. Once set, click the "Save" button.

4. How do I access scores?

DBS2K users:

When you are in the DBS2K line service program, click on the down arrow immediately to the right of the "Scores" button. From the dropdown menu, you can now select "Yesterday's Scores" if you want scores from the day before. If you want to go further back, select "Archives" and simply click on the date you are looking for.

Express/Java users:

When you are in the Express/Java line service program, you can see the score of a specific game by highlighting the game. To highlight a games, click on the matchup - a red bar will appear to the left of the matchup indicating that it is selected. Now click the "Score" button in the top menu, then choose "Selected Game" from the pop-up. The game score will then appear on a browser (e.g. Internet Explorer or Firefox). If you choose "Selected Sport" from the pop-up menu, you will get all of the scores from the sport currently being displayed on your lines screen. To get scores from all sports, click the "Score" button followed by the "All Games" button. And finally, to access the scores archives, click the "Score" button followed by the "Archives" button. From there, simply click on the date you are looking for.

5. What do the L, M, R, W, and URG abbreviations on DBS2k stand for?

L = Lineup. You can double click on the letter L and you will get lineup information for that particular game.

M = Matchups. You can double click on the letter M and you will get matchup information for that particular game.

R = Revised Lineup. You can double click on the letter R and you will get the revised lineup information for that particular game.

W = Weather. You can double click on the letter W and get the weather for that particular game.

URG = Urgent Message. This means there is an urgent message(s) for that game. You can double click on URG to view the urgent message(s) info for that particular game.

7. How do guaranteed picks work?

When you purchase a guaranteed pick, your credit card is pre-authorized but not charged for the price of the pick. If the pick is subsequently graded a winner, your card will be charged for the amount of the pick. If the pick is graded a loser, the pre-authorization is dropped and you will not be charged. Depending on your bank, it takes normally three to five days for the pre-authorization to drop off and go back into your account. Your bank should be able to tell you what their policy is on pre-authorized charges.

9. How do I print the from the lines service program?

DBS2K users:

Click on the "Print" button in the top menu. This will bring up the print form. Click on the "Remove All" button, then look in the "Columns Available" and select "Date/Time". This will automatically put "Date/Time" into the "Print" column. Repeat this for "Game Number" and "Team Name". Now go down to the "Casinos Available" box and select the casinos you want to view. Next, highlight (i.e. click once) the sports that you want from the "Leagues" box. Once you have this set, click the "Display Lines" button in the bottom right-hand corner. This will give you a printable page of desired lines in your browser. To print the page, click on "File" then "Print" in the top menu of your browser.

Express/Java users:

Click on the "Print" button in the top right corner of the lines service program. Then check the box next to the casinos of your choice. Now select the sports you want to see. Then make sure you have the appropriate number in the Timezone box for your area (e.g. 3 for East coast, 2 for Central, -2 for Hawaii). Now click on display lines. The lines will appear in a browser. You can print the lines by clicking on "File" then "Print" in the top menu of your browser.
