James Manos
James Manos is a lifelong athlete and sports enthusiast. Despite receiving degrees in microbiology and genetics, he decided not to pursue these careers and instead devoted himself to his passion for becoming a professional handicapper. This passion, and his wagering success on a personal level, prompted him to leave the beautiful beaches of Hawaii and relocate to the Lake Tahoe area of northern Nevada for the purpose of becoming "part of the action."
Mr. Manos has been wagering on the professional level since 1998 and offering his services to the gambling public since 2002. In addition, James provides selections and content for a variety of radio shows, both nationally and regionally (Northern Nevada), and was a participant in the 2005 Stardust Invitational. In his first 2 years as a monitored handicapping service, James has quickly collected several Top-10 football finishes, including an outstanding inaugural 2004 season where he finished #5 for the college bowl season and #9 in combined NFL and college net wins. This success in football can be directly attributed to his creation of team and game-specific offensive efficiency ratings (which predict each teams odds to score per possession). James’ success has not been limited to the football arena as over the last two seasons, according to The Sports Monitor of OK City, he has also collected Top-10 finishes in the NBA, NCAA basketball, and in 2005 was documented as the nation’s #1 baseball handicapper, finishing an amazing + 50.6 units for the season.
