If there is any team in college football more erratic than the Tar Heels, it’s news to me. At times, this team has looked positively brilliant and at times they looked downright sad.
Consistency is important folks, both in football and in sports betting.
I will tell you one thing for sure, the Demon Deacons have been a consistent money-maker, covering five of six contests this season. Not only that, but Wake Forest has been competitive in every contest on the campaign, including an opening-season loss, which they covered against Clemson with Trevor Lawrence at the helm.
The offense is loaded. The very smart and talented Wake quarterback, Sam Hartman (1,253 yards passing, 62% completion rate, 4/0) doesn’t make mistakes, nor does the rest of the offensive unit (one turnover through six games). As a matter of fact, the team is +14 in turnover margin. When you think of it, that’s really not bad for a squad that puts up over 37.0 PPG.
Giving a skillful head coach like Dave Clawson this many points is a mistake. Especially after a bye week, giving the team and the staff time to heal and time to prepare. The Demon Deacons are 11-4 ATS the last 15 as a road dog, 4-1 ATS the last five in conference play, and 4-0 ATS the last four overall.
The Tar Heels are 2-5 ATS the last seven following an ATS win. With most of the season in the rear-view mirror, this time of year you have got to stay with the teams that have shown consistency.
Take nearly two touchdowns with Wake Forest and take your books money. I really like getting the two touchdowns here folks. This is where being smart pays off. Get the +14. If you miss it, wait for it, or buy it back.
