NFL Picks For Week 4 – Part 2 – Late Games & MNF

Week 4 continues with five late-afternoon games on Sunday, plus prime-time broadcasts that evening and the usual Monday night finale.
Peyton Manning gets his first taste of a big AFC West rivalry as the Denver Broncos host the Oakland Raiders. Both teams are 1-2 in the standings and need a win to get back to .500 as well as at least keep pace with the division-leading San Diego Chargers. Denver is a 6½-7 point favorite and has failed to cover the last five in this series at home. Each of the last five matchups have gone 'over' the total, this week set at 48½.
In what might be the biggest NFL contest ever between clubs combining for a 1-5 record, the winless New Orleans Saints are at Lambeau to take on the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay remains the top-ranked team in the latest Don Best Linemakers Poll despite a 1-2 record, and is healthy 7½-point chalk against the 0-3 Saints. The last six meetings have been halved while the 'over' has cashed all six times. Sunday's total is 53.
NFC East rivals finish the Sunday card with a prime-time kickoff in Philadelphia where the Eagles await the New York Giants. Oddsmakers have laden Philly with a 2½-point spread and set the total at 47½. They split the two meetings a year ago as the G-Mean stopped a 6-game Eagles win streak with their Week 3 win.
Last but not least, Monday Night Football has a dandy matchup in Dallas where the Cowboys host the Chicago Bears. A couple of oft-criticized QBs tangle with Tony Romo and the 'Boys laying 3½ against Jay Cutler and 'da Bears. Chicago won as a 7-point underdog two years ago in Big D, and the 'under' has prevailed in seven of the last 10 meetings between the squads.
