The regular referees are back, and so is the Don Best team to offer up their previews and picks for the early games on Sunday's NFL betting card.
Division rivalries dominate the one o'clock schedule, starting with the New England Patriots traveling to Buffalo to battle the Bills. The Pats have dropped two straight while the Bills have won their last two and are tied with the Jets for first in the AFC East. New England opened as 6-point chalk but the numbers is down to -4 with the total at 51. The clubs split last year's meetings that both went 'over.'
A key NFC South clash takes place in Atlanta where the 3-0 Falcons entertain Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers (1-2). Atlanta is a touchdown favorite with the total in the 48-49 range according to the Don Best Pro Odds. The Falcons have won four straight in the series, covering the last three.
The lone interconference tilt on the early schedule finds the San Francisco 49ers zipping cross-country to tackle the New York Jets. NFL Oddsmakers are in agreement on this one with the Niners -4 and a 41½-point total. San Francisco is knotted with the Patriots for second in the latest Don Best Linemakers Poll that has Rex Ryan's New Yorkers in a tie for 20th with Carolina.
The Houston Texans are home for a grudge match with the Tennessee Titans in an AFC South tussle. Houston is favored by 12, the largest spread on this week's schedule, and will be looking for its fourth win and cover against the Titans. The last three in this series have gone 'over,' and Sunday's scoreboard mark is 45.
