Indianapolis Colts: The Colts (5-3 straight-up and against the spread) could not be much better off right now considering where they were a year ago. They have won their last three games both SU and ATS along with five of their past seven with the "under" cashing in three straight. Last year, Indy won two games all year, which put the team in position to draft former Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck, who has thrown for the exact same amount of passing yards (2,404) as his predecessor Peyton Manning has with the Denver Broncos in 2012. Luck has been nothing short of spectacular for his team, which will need to overcome a number of other key NFL injuries, including WR Donnie Avery (hip), LB Robert Mathis (back) and CB Jerraud Powers (toe).
Jacksonville Jaguars: The Jaguars (1-7 SU, 4-4 ATS) have been absolutely brutal at home and are definitely missing RB Maurice Jones-Drew, who remains out with a foot injury. Jacksonville is 0-4 SU and ATS at EverBank Field, getting outscored there by an average of 23 points (126-37). The team fell to Detroit 31-14 on Sunday, scoring both touchdowns in the fourth quarter after trailing 24-0. The only trend in favor of the Jags in this spot is their head-to-head record against the Colts, going 4-1 SU and ATS over the last three seasons. That includes a 22-17 victory at Indy back on September 23 when WR Cecil Shorts caught the game-winning touchdown in the final minute to give Jacksonville its only win of the year.
