Football Lines To Watch - Monday Market Report October 29

By: Don Best Staff | Monday, October 29, 2012

Brian Blessing and Todd Fuhrman are back with the Monday Market Report and a look at early line movement on this week's football betting slate.

Starting on the college football front, the Big East clash in Cincinnati between the Bearcats and Syracuse Orange started with Cincy laying an even touchdown, but that numbers has since come down to -5.  The Bearcats are coming off a tough loss last Friday to the undefeated Louisville Cardinals, while the Orange come in with momentum following a win over South Florida.

A Big 12 matchup has seen movement in the opposite direction on Texas Tech who hosts the Texas Longhorns.  The Red Raiders opened at -5 with early action pushing the spread to -7 for the mid-afternoon kickoff in Lubbock.  Texas has won the last three meetings outright, and covered the past two battles.

Shifting to the SEC, Mississippi State is coming off a sound whipping at the hands of top-ranked Alabama and now has to take on a Texas A&M squad that demolished Auburn on the road.  The Don Best Pro Odds screen shows this spread moving from the initial 3½-point spread in favor of the visiting Aggies all the way up to -6½.  Blessing believes this line will move all the way to -7 on Texas A&M who could get caught looking ahead to a trip to Alabama in Week 11.

Sunday NFL action finds the Baltimore Ravens visiting the Cleveland Browns in an AFC North contest.  Baltimore opened -3 with the line already inching up past that magic number to -3½.  The Ravens are coming off their bye week after a loss at the Houston Texans, and needed the extra time to regroup with numerous injuries.

Make sure to check back later this week when the Friday Market Report is released.
