The first Saturday of October always means exciting college football for bettors to consider, and the Don Best crew is on hand to provide previews and picks for eight of the games.
A Big Ten battle is set to boot from Happy Valley at noon when the Penn State Nittany Lions get a visit from the Northwestern Wildcats. Penn State is looking for his fourth consecutive win, and the Nittany Lions enter this contest having covered their last four games with the 'under' also a profitable 4-1 for their backers. Northwestern, a 3-point underdog, takes aim at its first win over PSU since a road win in 2004.
Oklahoma is out for revenge when the Sooners travel to Lubbock to tangle with the Texas Tech Red Raiders and their top-ranked defense. The Sooners where 29-point home favorites last season before laying an egg in a 41-38 defeat to Texas Tech. Oklahoma is more modest 5-point chalk for this year's meeting and looking for its first win in Lubbock since 2003.
A couple of squads sporting 0-2 record in SEC play get together Saturday evening in Missouri where the Tigers are touchdown favorites vs. the Vanderbilt Commodores. Missouri is 16-2 in its last 18 at home while the Commodores are 1-10 their last 11 away from Nashville.
All eight games covered in this week's video are listed below (all times Eastern). Don't forget to drop back in next week when the Don Best experts offer their picks on more college football games.
