Bowling Green Falcons: Defense has been the name of the game for the Falcons (6-3 straight-up and against the spread) all season, and especially during their current five-game winning and cover streaks. Coach Dave Clawson's squad ranks ninth in the country, allowing just over 15 points per game, and is eighth nationally in total defense (290 yards per game). Both numbers lead the MAC, and all eight of Bowling Green's lined games this season have finished short of the total. A 27-15 loss at Toledo on Sept. 15 marked the only time the Falcons defense has allowed more than 12 points to a conference opponent, and BGSU has outscored its four MAC foes since by a 109-25 margin. One key injury note centers on top RB Anthon Samuel who missed the last game with a neck injury, but is listed as probable for this week's contest. Bowling Green leads the all-time series with Ohio, 36-25-2.

Ohio Bobcats: Tied with Bowling Green for second in the MAC East, Frank Solich's Bobcats (8-1 SU, 4-5 ATS) will look to extend their streak to four consecutive wins over the Falcons on Wednesday. Ohio rolled up over 500 yards of offense in last Thursday's 45-14 romp past Eastern Michigan, easily covering the 16-point spread to halt a four-game slide at the college football betting window. The Bobcats rank 19th in the country in rushing (220.8 ypg) thanks to the effort of junior tailback Beau Blankenship who is ninth nationally averaging almost 122 yards per game. Tyler Tettleton threw for three scores in the victory vs. EMU, and has an impressive 15/2 TD/INT ratio for the season. The Bobcats have won four of the last five clashes with Bowling Green, but it is Falcons backers who have come out ahead vs. the point spread with 10 winning tickets in the last 13 meetings.
