Baylor Bears: It may have been a case of looking ahead to this game when the Bears (4-2 straight-up, 1-3 against the spread) dropped a 63-59 decision at home last Saturday to College of Charleston. Baylor was laying 17 points in that game after taking out St. John's at the Charleston Classic a week earlier. Pierre Jackson leads four Bears in double-digits with 20.3 points per game.

Kentucky Wildcats: Yet to cover a spread this season, the 'Cats (4-2 SU, 0-4 ATS) return home off a 64-50 setback Thursday night at Notre Dame as small road 'dogs. Kentucky jumped out to a 12-6 lead before going cold from the field and shooting just 40.4 percent in the game while the Irish converted 8-of-15 from 3-point range. The Wildcats have won their last 55 games at Rupp Arena.

Alabama Crimson Tide: A perfect start to the season has the Tide (6-0 SU, 2-1 ATS) sitting just outside of both polls. This will be Alabama's first true road game of the season after beating Oregon State and 'Nova to win the 2K Sports Classic at Madison Square Garden in mid-November. Trevor Releford leads the Crimson Tide in scoring with 18.6 ppg.

Cincinnati Bearcats: Idle since winning the Global Sports Challenge in Las Vegas a week ago, the Bearcats (6-0 SU, 2-1 ATS) are led by Sean Kilpatrick, whose scoring average of 21 ppg ranks 21st in the country. Cincinnati is seventh overall in scoring (86.8 ppg) and ranks first with 49.2 rebounds per contest.

Television: ESPNU

San Diego State Aztecs: A second consecutive Pac-12 opponent awaits the Aztecs (4-1 SU, 2-1 ATS) in Anaheim at the John Wooden Classic. Steve Fisher's troops are coming off a 66-60 win at Southern Cal on Sunday, when they were laying two points to the Trojans. James Rahon and Jamaal Franklin each scored 17 for the Aztecs, who were playing without the services of Chase Tapley. The senior guard remains questionable for Saturday's contest due to a knee injury (click to check updated college basketball injury report).

UCLA Bruins: It's the 16th appearance for the Bruins (5-2 SU, 3-4 ATS) in this event named for their former legendary coach. UCLA smoked Cal State-Northridge on Thursday, 82-56, as Norman Powell came off the bench to lead the Bruins with 17 points in helping cover the 14½-point spread. That win followed an embarrassing 70-68 upset loss to Cal Poly for UCLA as a 19-point favorite at Pauley Pavilion.
