Oklahoma City Thunder: Oklahoma City (9-3 straight-up, 7-4-1 against the spread) is coming off a 117-111 overtime win against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday and will look to beat the Celtics down for a fourth consecutive time, and third straight at TD Garden. The Thunder have won and covered three in a row and are 3-1 on the road (2-1-1 ATS) in the early going. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook have provided their usual solid play, and Kevin Martin has perfectly fit the role the Thunder wanted by coming off the bench for offensive bursts. However, the team has had some issues with its big men, as Nick Collison has been ineffective in his reserve role while Kendrick Perkins has been limited by foul trouble and not provided his usual force in the paint.

Boston Celtics: The C's (6-6 SU, 3-7-2 ATS) are coming off a 112-100 home loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday and have now dropped three of their last four, and bettors will want to monitor Paul Pierce's status after he twisted an ankle in Sunday's setback at Detroit (click to check updated NBA injury report). That loss had the Celtics in fourth place of the Atlantic Division, three games behind the front-running Knicks. The sluggish start to the campaign has seen Boston outscored by its opponents despite shooting 48 percent from the field, tied for 3rd-best in the NBA with Oklahoma City. Rebounding has been a big problem for the Celtics, who rank dead-last in the league with under 37 boards per game. TD Garden has also not provided much of a home-court advantage, with Boston 3-3 SU and just 1-4-1 ATS on the parquet. The Celtics will follow this contest with a trip to Orlando on Sunday.
