Sprint Cup Series Heads To New Hampshire

The boys of NASCAR will hit the pavement once again on Sunday afternoon for Sprint Cup betting action in the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 at Loudon, NH. This is the 19th race of the Sprint Cup season, and there will be just seven races before the Chase for the Championship once this one is said and done.

The race on Sunday, July 17 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway will be set to drop the green flag at 10:16 a.m. (PT), and NASCAR betting fanatics can view the race live on TNT.

When you look at a list of past winners of the races here at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, you see a ton of the Busch brothers. Kurt Busch and Kyle Busch already have four wins between them on this track, with Kurt cashing in three times and Kyle scoring the trip to Victory Lane once. Three of the four wins came in the first race of the year in Loudon.

Kyle just took the lead in the Sprint Cup standings last week after winning at Kentucky Speedway in the Quaker State 400. That marked his third win of the season and 10th Top 5 finish.

Kurt might only have four Top 5 finishes this year, but three of the four have come since May 29, making him one of the hottest drivers on the Sprint Cup as well. He is up to fourth in the points chase and looks to be in great shape for a spot in the Chase for the Championship just like his brother.

The two Busch brothers are amongst the first six favorites on the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 odds list. Kyle comes in at +850, while Kurt is at +1100.

The favorite though, is probably the scariest driver at the moment in NASCAR. We all knew that it was only a matter of time before Jimmie Johnson really got a move on and made his push at a sixth straight championship, and last week might have been just the beginning of the warning signals. Johnson finished third at the Quaker State 400, and now he returns to a track which has treated him well over the years.

The driver of the No. 48 Chevy has three wins, six Top 5s and 12 Top 10s in his 18 career starts here at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and two of those three wins have come in the first race of the year here. Last season, Johnson took the checkered flag in the Lenox Industrial Tools 301, and he is now a +575 favorite to take down the title once again.

If you're looking to perhaps go a bit off of the board to find a big time winner on the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 betting lines, why not take a stab at young Joey Logano? Sure, he has only won one race in his career, but it came right here in Loudon in 2009.

Logano is badly in need of some more strong performances to have a chance to make the Chase for the Championship, and though he is in 20th position right now and needs to squeak into the Top 12 to get the job done, he is just 45 points off of the pace with eight races to go.

The No. 20 Home Depot car is lined at +5000 to win this race.

The weather is expected to be great in Loudon on Sunday. High temperatures should be in the mid-80s with virtually no chance of rain.

Next week the boys of NASCAR are off before heading to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the infamous Brickyard 400 on July 31.
